Tilly Valentine has just unveiled her new EP Cupid Killer, which leans into the messiness of modern relationships

A metaphorical nod to love gone wrong, Tilly Valentine has just unveiled her new EP ‘Cupid Killer,’ which leans into the messiness of modern relationships.

The playful, tongue-in-cheek five-track collection explores love at its most chaotic and destructive, pairing knowing humour and an unapologetic, self-assured edge. Following the success of her recent BBC Radio 1-supported singles Tornado and Buzzkill, Cupid Killer marks a bold new chapter in her ever-evolving sound.

The EP also features ‘Ammunition’, ‘Glitch,’ which is an interlude track with the same vibrancy as the other tracks from Tilly and ‘Undercover’ concludes the EP with more of a dancy and funky arrangement and lyrics that reflect upon someone who is playing the field as Meduulla adds a r&b vibe to Cupid Killer.

Blending elements of soul, R&B and electronic pop, Cupid Killer captures the push and pull of romance with a reminder that sometimes, the most empowering move is simply to let love end.

Valentine shares “Sometimes love ending isn’t a failure, it’s a form of self-respect. Writing this EP helped me realise there’s a lot of strength in choosing yourself when something isn’t right anymore, and that shift in perspective felt important to explore.”
