‘Just Another Day in NYC’ transports us into the midst of a lively rock and roll inspired track, with energetic vocals from Joe Caruso

Joe Caruso left his corporate job during COVID to pursue my dream of recording an album of original music and he managed to do so!

Six singles live thus far, with five more on the way with the Autumn release of ‘Tales from Two Cities,’ which was written in two cities: Washington DC and New York City.

Joe wrote ‘Just Another Day in NYC’ during his senior year of college at Georgetown University, as he found himself emotionally torn between the sadness of leaving a tightknit community of friends at the University and the excitement of moving back to NYC to start a new life and career.

The track begins with a gentle intro, however the vibe instantly shifts gears and it isn’t long until we find ourselves in the midst of a lively rock and roll inspired track, with energetic vocals from the Washington musician.

The song is a gritty rocker meant to evoke the raw energy that only Manhattan can generate, and the love/hate relationship so many of us have toward our home city.

The lyric video was created by Bill McGarvey (one of the producers) who compiled New York newspaper front pages where pictures taken by Joe’s father were featured.

He worked as a photographer for several NYC newspapers.
