Christian Parker releases third studio album ‘Scales & Strings’

Country singer-songwriter Christian Parker has released his third studio album, Scales & Strings, available now on all major streaming platforms. Released October 9, the ten-track project marks a new chapter for Parker as he reflects on the past two years of his life, including his decision to leave behind a career in law and pursue country music in Nashville.

Produced by Grammy-nominated “Mama Jan” Smith and Jesse Owen Astin, the album blends Parker’s country roots with Southern rock and blues influences, exploring themes of heartbreak, relationships, uncertainty, and personal growth.

“Scales & Strings is an emotional time capsule of the last two years of my life. I left a career in law, moved to Nashville with a guitar and a dream, and spent a lot of that time wondering if I had made the right decision,” Parker shares.

“There were rejections, heartbreak, uncertainty, late nights, laughter, and tears, but all of it found its way into these songs. This album is the most honest representation of who I was, who I’ve become, and why I decided to bet on myself in the first place.”

Raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and influenced by years spent performing in Texas honky-tonks, Parker took an unconventional route into the music industry. Before relocating to Nashville, he pursued a legal education and spent time on Capitol Hill before ultimately deciding to focus on his music career.

Scales & Strings follows his previous studio albums, Debutante and Been There, Done That, and features a combination of previously released singles and new material. Among the tracks are “Gucci Boots,” “Bottle,” “Almost Mine,” and “Three Months Long,” along with “I Don’t Know,” “Just Friends,” and “Boots by the Bed,” featuring fellow country artist Mary Kate Farmer.

The album arrives following growing support for Parker from country music outlets, including Country Central, Holler, Dirt Road Country, and others. On October 9, Parker also appeared on WSMV’s Today in Nashville, where he discussed the project and delivered a live televised performance in celebration of its release.

With Scales & Strings, Parker continues building on his previous releases while offering listeners a closer look at the personal experiences that have influenced his songwriting and career.
