Tai Woffinden and David Forbes drop ‘Mirror Mirror’ on Hannah Laing’s doof!

Fuelled by adrenaline, attitude and a shared appetite for high-impact dancefloor moments, ‘Mirror Mirror’ sees Tai Woffinden and David Forbes lock into a formidable studio partnership, marking Woffinden’s debut on Hannah Laing’s doof imprint alongside one of the label’s most trusted contributors in Forbes.

Landing like a sucker punch of peak-time trance, ‘Mirror Mirror’ blends Tai Woffinden‘s explosive, mainstage instincts with David Forbes’ deep-rooted expertise in driving, euphoric production. A hot-headed techno kick takes hold from the first bar and refuses to let go, warped to the alluring female vocal hook of “mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the baddest of them all?”

Hannah Laing, the driving force behind doof and one of Scotland’s most celebrated and in-demand DJ/producers, has been championing ‘Mirror Mirror’ in her sets ahead of release, signalling her confidence that the record is set to make serious shockwaves.

Three-time Speedway World Champion Tai Woffinden accelerated into the dance music sphere in 2023, channelling the same boundary-pushing ambition and fearless mentality that made him a global motorsport icon into the studio and onto the dancefloor. From collaborations with Oliver Heldens, Gabry Ponte, CERES and Mauro Picotto, to releasing on Armada Music, and regular track support from bossman Armin van Buuren, Tai Woffinden’s rapid rise through the ranks is no stroke of luck, purely skill. The lifelong raver turned DJ/producer ticks off another major milestone in August, opening up for Hardwell at Sunrise Festival 2026 in Poland, further cementing his status as one of electronic music’s most exciting crossover success stories.

For David Forbes, the release marks his fourth outing on doof and another standout addition to a catalogue spanning more than two decades. A respected figure across trance, techno and hardcore, the Glasgow-born producer has built an enviable reputation, working collaborations with the likes of Ben Gold and John Askew, and remaining one of the UK’s most trusted names behind the decks and in the studio.

Adding to the excitement, David Forbes is confirmed to play doof in the Park 2026, Hannah Laing’s hometown festival which launched last summer to a sold-out crowd of 15,000 people and returns to Camperdown Country Park in Dundee on Saturday 4th July.

Festivalgoers with have the chance to experience the true intoxication of ‘Mirror Mirror’ live, in the open air, in the company of riled up ravers, exactly how it was meant to be consumed.
