Presenting grit-pop duo Dafties who have just finished their first ever collaboration ‘Lawnchair.exe,’ with rapper and AEW pro wrestler Kid Reed (Myron Reed).
It’s an upbeat Summer anthem about being folded out, leaned on and left out the moment someone better shows up and lands right before Reed’s expected appearance on AEW’s All In London card at Wembley Stadium this August.
‘Lawnchair.exe’ sees the Dafties serve up grungy and vibrant synth melodies and the unique vocal stylings of Rae Elizabeth as Connor Taylor conjures up a stirring guitar arrangement, all of which perfectly blends together to create a dreamy Summer anthem.
Taken from their forthcoming EP Tea which is due for release later this year, the track blends indie pop, alt-rock and hip-hop, drawing inspiration from the rap-featured alternative rock songs that dominated early 2000s America.
Built on bright summer production, shakers and sax, the track balances an upbeat energy with a moody lyrical theme.
Connor and Reed have been friends for over a decade, working together on various wrestling and music marketing projects — this however is the one song they have finally recorded together.
