Zeo Guinle boasts millions of streams on digital platforms. As a resident DJ at the legendary São Paulo club D-Edge, Zeo Guinle has performed three times at Tomorrowland, five times at Rock in Rio, and over ten times at Universo Paralello, among other notable appearances.
With releases on international heavyweight labels, Zeo Guinle presented the EP “This Time” on January 26th through Warung Recordings, featuring two tracks: the original and a remix by Dirty Doering, the head of the Berlin-based label Katermukke. Warung Recordings represents the acclaimed Warung Beach Club in the music industry, with numerous releases that have left their mark, as does the EP “This Time.” Warung Beach Club hosted some memorable moments with Zeo Guinle on the decks, and after a few years the artist is back to the “Temple”.
Almost thirteen minutes in two tracks. The original leads with a melodic progression until nearly a minute in, when the beats initiate an upward projection, accompanied by elements that distort the sonic reality around them. Wrapped in a mysterious atmosphere, the track introduces existential questions in short interjections that seem to emerge from within a dream. The progressive evolution of the track reaches its peak halfway through when spatiality gives way to clear and pronounced kicks.
Dirty Doering’s remix, on the other hand, offers a more digital and synthesised reinterpretation with various peaks and a less progressive but equally impactful approach on the dance floor. Heavier and more industrial, the remix manages to preserve elements that characterise the original track while providing its unique interpretation. It’s worthy of an artist who knows what he’s doing and carries a cultural background like Dirty Doering.
Zeo Guinle‘s international experience has significantly shaped his sound since he embarked on a solo career.
