“Better With Time” Music Video: Song by Stefanie Michaela, Nash Overstreet, and Cali Rodi, Produced by Nash Overstreet
Rising pop/R&B artist Stefanie Michaela releases the music video for her latest single, “Better With Time,” a lush, unfiltered track that pushes back against age expectations and celebrates self-made confidence. Co-written by Stefanie, Nash Overstreet (Hot Chelle Rae, Megan Trainor), and Cali Rodi (Keith Urban, Daya), and produced by Overstreet, the song tells the story of a woman’s life that is just getting started after picking up her dreams from where she left off.
Stefanie doesn’t just perform; she inhabits every frame with intention. She moves with purpose within the barrel wall and the City Winery Nashville cellar room. Her swaying along the decorated, curving staircase beautifully creates an ambiance reminiscent of a giant LED-lit window in a historic church.
“Filming my music video in Nashville brought my songs to life. It gave meaning to the story and painted a picture of real, lived emotion,” Stefanie says. “There’s something about Nashville, it pulls the truth out of your songs and your soul.”
“Stop telling me act my age
Ain’t nothing but a number anyway
I can’t get with that same old same
I keep getting better with time.”
Director Rick Caballo (Dead Horse Branding), says, “Pairing the song lyrics with the City Winery venue made our job so much easier. It was the perfect setting, with everything we needed was right there. The food and staff were amazing, and the whole day went on without a hitch. Even utilizing their foyer as a space for a small white backdrop.”
The classy high-end feel, candlelight, and barrels were the ultimate complement to the vintage fashion, the song’s message, and the song’s hook. While the music industry is a fast-paced and superficial landscape, winemakers like the City Winery know the importance of time spent savoring the moment, letting good things come to those who wait–just like Stefanie, who has honed her craft over the years.
Stefanie is curating her very own City Winery wine collection in collaboration with the venue for her lucky fans to enjoy. With its fully functioning urban winery, private event spaces, and a reputation for world-class hospitality, City Winery Nashville has become a premier destination for music lovers, foodies, and wine enthusiasts alike.
Stefanie isn’t chasing what was; she’s stepping into what’s always been hers. “When the vibe of City Winery matches the soul of your song, the story comes alive,” she says.
“Better With Time” pushes back on the pressure to conform and speaks to anyone who’s ever been told they’re too late, too old, or too anything. Stefanie makes it clear: those limits don’t apply here. Fresh off her performance as part of NBC’s Atlanta and Co. Artists to Watch Series, she has two shows in Los Angeles this fall — and with her new EP Turning Pages arriving next year, this chapter is only the beginning.

About Stefanie Michaela
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stefanie Michaela discovered her love for music at just 2 years old. As a child, she would watch award shows, point to the TV, and say, “I want to do that and be on stage one day.” She began writing her own songs and performing them for her family, using the fireplace hearth as her stage. Weekly performances became tradition, with Stefanie entertaining her family with original songs. Her passion grew alongside her, and she became a fixture at talent shows, dance recitals, and school musicals, earning the nickname “the littlest girl with the biggest voice” in her hometown.
With soulful pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Stefanie’s music tells the story of a journey shaped by resilience, perseverance, and determination. By age 12, studio sessions became her sanctuary, a space to craft melodies and pour her emotions into song. Her undeniable talent led her to pursue her dreams at Idyllwild Arts Academy and later the Boston Conservatory for musical theater.
Though she faced setbacks along the way, Stefanie—bolstered by her family’s unwavering support—refused to give up. A chance opportunity reignited her passion, and she returned to the studio with renewed purpose. Now, with the support of her children, who are her biggest inspiration, Stefanie is once again writing and recording music.
As she turns the page to a new chapter, Stefanie is filled with determination and heart—ready to release her upcoming EP, Turning Pages.
