Manchester quartet The Rolling People have released their new single ‘Your Take’, opening the door to new EP Outlier, set for release next month. It’s a new chapter for the band, whose sound continues to become larger with each new string of releases. In three minutes, they pair an urgent spirit with a more melancholic, emotionally weighty atmosphere.

Early moments have a raw, unfiltered guitar riff, setting the scene for the brighter soundscape that explodes with soaring melodies and reverberating drums. The vocal is darker, a heartfelt outpour that reaches into impassioned delivery at the end of each line. It builds and builds, reaching a climax of chanted vocal backdrops, huge guitars and rich percussion by the time the band wraps it up.

They explain, “Your Take came together quickly, with guitars, vocals and drums all naturally falling into place. We knew it had to be the lead single for our next EP – it’s fresh, youthful energy pays homage to our more rock and alternative influences.

Lyrically, the song explores music as a form of escape and self-expression. The title highlights the individuality of music and how one song can connect with so many people in completely different ways. It demonstrates how song can be used to communicate emotions and to deliver a personal message.”

The Rolling People have headlined Manchester’s O2 Ritz, appeared at The Great Escape and supported The K’s. Their EP, Before It’s Gone, received broad backing upon its 2024 release. Moving into 2026, the momentum is as impressive as ever.
