The Fever Dreams release new single ‘Hairclip Things’

Illustrious five-piece The Fever Dreams are turning up the heat with their new single, Hairclip Things. Arriving on a wave of attention, courtesy of BBC Introducing Solent as a Pick of the Week, the South Coast rockers are truly on a collision course as ones to watch for 2026.

With singles in May and June of this year already, in the shape of Sky and Take Me Home respectively, consistency is key – a rule the boys are sticking to. Quantity over quality is of no concern here, as Hairclip Things does nothing but strengthen The Fever Dream’s reputation for hard-hitting riffs, punchy melodies and driving rhythms.

Discussing the single, the band explains:

“‘Hairclip Things’ started as a bouncy blues riff that Duke and Kieron decided to develop into an upbeat, tongue-in-cheek take on a breakup song. During the writing process, the guys couldn’t remember what bobby pins were called, and Kieron’s brother just kept calling them “Hairclip Things” – so the name stuck!”

Made up of Kieron Cov and Sam James Duke on vocals and lead guitar respectively, with Sam McDaniel aka Maccers on rhythm and bvs, with Will Hincks and Jake Morter across bass and drums, the guys are set to headline their hometown venue of Papillion, in Southampton, on August 1st, and Hairclip Things is one hell of an appetizer.
