SISTER MADDS roar on debut EP ‘Are You Hungry?’

Glasgow’s SISTER MADDS, after a wave of support for their teaser single ‘Table Manners’ a few weeks ago, have unveiled their debut EP Are You Hungry?. A sharp twelve-minute introduction into their punchy attitudes, high-octane vocals and raucous instrumentation for anyone yet to get their ears around the quintets sound, they’ve got a fizzy, bratty, biting aura.

With four tracks, they lash out with astute observations at the state of the world and the day-to-day, restlessly glaring down those with materialistic aspirations in ‘Get Rich, Get Girls, You’ll Be Happy’ and those defying meritocracy in ‘Nepobaby’. The storytelling is unapologetic and acute, but there’s still a lively self-awareness at play. Final number ‘No Longer Leaving’ leans into their more infectious, pop-laced rock abilities, wrapping up the whistle-stop tour of SISTER MADDS with an absolute anthem.

In their words, “We really want people to feel how much fun we had making this through our music. Whether they want to rock out to it, laugh along with the lyrics, or reflect on their own experiences, we hope this EP helps our audience feel the same way we did when creating it.”

Building momentum through a UK tour with nearly all sold-out slots and plenty of headlined festival stages. The Scottish group are fast becoming a very hotly tipped band, earning plenty of radio and press backing that positions them as one to watch.
