Shervin Boloorian calls for peace with ‘My Free Heart’

The Iranian-born Shervin Boloorian has shared a message of strength with his single ‘My Free Heart’. Releasing an English and Persian version, Shervin acts as an advocate for peace and sees the track as an ode for refugees, like himself, who endure displacement, conflict, and loss.

Centred around Shervin’s gentle acoustic guitar and soothing vocal performance, the track is decorated by viola, shakuhachi flute and keys. Merging world instrumentation with soul and intimacy, though it is marked by grief, the song conveys and radiates hope; it’s clear that the cause is one Shervin finds purpose in supporting.

Kipper Eldridge, whose credits include work with Sting, produced the track and shares, “This song holds a very special place in my creative heart. Shervin’s guitar riff is both beautifully simple and deceptively complex, anchoring the piece with elegance. This new Iranian version expands the song’s depth and meaning, offering a glimpse into the real Iran through the eyes and lives of its people.”

Shervin adds, “This song is my tribute to anyone who has ever stood up for freedom and dignity. It’s also my way of sharing the beauty and humanity of Iran with the world.”

Boloorian is currently based in Bali, and his music draws not only from his experiences as a refugee but also as a healer and a storyteller. His advocacy and songwriting have earned him multiple awards and accolades, and he continues to work as a sound therapist alongside his soul-stirring releases.
