Written after one of Stone’s closest friends was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma, the song reflects on standing beside the people we care about during life’s most difficult moments. Thankfully, his friend has since recovered, turning what could have been a story of heartbreak into one of hope and perseverance.

The recording also captures the spontaneous nature of The Basement Collective. During one session, Stone’s daughter unexpectedly sang into the microphone during a soundcheck. Stone’s career has already included support from BBC Radio 2, playlisting on Jazz FM and music featured on NBC’s The Blacklist.
