Producer Mykah has shared his debut album, Long Time Coming, showcasing his talents in Afrobeat across eight tracks. Versatility through collaboration is at the centre of the project, featuring performances from the likes of Egar Boi, Morrelo, JHAE, Skeelz, and Morientez. The chemistry between Mykah and these artists is unmistakable moment to moment, their sleek performances gliding across the infectious rhythm and groove of the production.
The heart of the project lies in the distinctiveness of the fast-growing UK contemporary sound, harnessing West African, in Mykah’s case, Nigerian, pioneering. It highlights the most warming roots of Afrobeats in R&B and dancehall, weaving them into a hypnotic, smooth, flourishing sound.
Each track is a small package of bold, punchy instrumental choices, playing against shimmering mixes of keys, guitars and synths. Sonic landscapes are sculpted and refined, each track primed for radio, dancefloors and your headphones.
Mykah explains, “This project represents a new chapter for me as a producer. It’s been four years since my last release, and in that time I’ve grown not just in my music but as a person. Every track reflects the journey I’ve been on since 2020, and I’m excited to finally share that growth and energy with everyone.”
With past credits alongside Ozuna, Davido, and Boyspyce, garnering over a million plays, Mykah’s growth has been patient and intentional. Looking forward, the next steps will be the most important, as 2026 is set to mark a career turning point.
