Moon Construction Kit unleashes powerful new anthem ‘Chemicals’

Fresh off the back of the release of ‘Long John Silver’, Moon Construction Kit is back as he pulls the curtain back on his latest single, ‘Chemicals’. The project of the Lausanne-based creative Olivier Cornu, the new release leans into expansive sonic textures, finding its feet somewhere between indie rock, and melodic electronica.

Kicking off with a gentle wash of synthesised energy, ‘Chemicals’ soon begins to show its hand as a brooding, emphatic anthem. A true, dynamic slice of modern music making, its levels give it a boundless lease of life, its textures give it a cinematic richness. As Cornu heads into the new year with a vivid creative momentum, ‘Chemicals’ means he can certainly do so in style.

Commenting on the themes embedded in the release, Olivier expands on the single, explaining, “‘Chemicals’ is the sound of feeling too much. Eventually, the only way to cope is to switch off. I wanted the track to mirror that fight between chaos and the desperate need for stillness.”
