The breakthrough star teases his bold new sound and confirms his Eurovision ambitions for 2026.
AIDAN, one of Malta’s most successful young artists, has officially dropped the music video for his vibrant new single ‘Taste‘, igniting the beginning of a brand-new chapter in his career. The release marks the launch of a fresh musical era, set to unfold with an upcoming album that sees the artist push his sound and style into exciting new territory.
Alongside the release, AIDAN also confirmed that he will return to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2026 and Taste offers fans a thrilling first glance at the sonic direction he plans to bring to the iconic stage.
AIDAN said of the new release: “This is my most ambitious music video yet. We had an incredible three days filming all around Malta, and the energy on set was unbelievable. I was fortunate to work with an amazing team, and I truly hope both the Maltese and international audiences enjoy this new direction I’m taking.”
“Taste” is co-written and produced by AIDAN alongside Dutch hitmaker Joep van den Boom, blending their creative forces into a sound built to turn heads. The visually striking music video is co-directed by AIDAN and Jason Zerafa bringing the track to life, with Gravity Studios’ Mikael Zerb Beeston serving as director of photography to deliver its sleek, high-impact aesthetic. The video also spotlights some of Malta’s most recognizable TV actors and showcases iconic locations across the island.
AIDAN stands as one of Malta’s most dominant chart-toppers, with an impressive 14 number-one singles to his name. His powerhouse performances have lit up the island’s biggest stages, including Malta’s national New Year’s Eve celebration, where he performed for a crowd of more than 50,000. In both 2024 and 2025, AIDAN took his success to new heights by headlining and hosting his very own concert at the MFCC – Malta’s largest indoor arena.
