Mae Muller unveils her empowering “break-up” single ‘Jenny’

Mae Muller has shared her new single ‘Jenny‘ along with an accompanying music video.

The new track is the second single from the young Londoner and acts as the follow up to her previously released track, ‘The Hoodie Song‘. The playful ‘Jenny‘ takes the all too the familiar heartbreak narrative and flips it on its head. “There are so many songs that are about break-ups which are sad and negative, so I just wanted to turn it on it on its head and make it playful and fun” Muller explains.

It’s a song that you can sing at the top of your lungs, and make you feel a bit better if you’ve been done dirty. It’s about girls sticking together and realising that we don’t need men that aren’t gonna treat us right, boy BYE!

The new cut isn’t necessarily meant to reinvent the wheel in its messaging but instead, add a bit of much-needed colour to it. Listen to the track below.

Both ‘Jenny‘ and ‘The Hoodie Song‘, which were produced by Two Inch Punch, will appear on Mae Muller’s debut EP, After Hours, which drops 6th February.
