Farida has kicked off the new year with her infectious R&B track ‘You‘.
‘You‘ is an incredibly strong offering from the Norwegian songstress and sees her hollowed out vocals tiptoeing between silky synth lines and atmospheric drum one-shots. The track’s playful production blurs the lines of conventional R&B pushing ‘You‘ into the sparkling realm of fantastically skewed pop music. Listen to ‘You‘ below.
‘You‘ is the first of a few tracks due to be released over the next year and follow up the singer’s 2017 songs ‘New York‘ and ‘Next To Nothing‘. Last year Farida hinted at the possibility of an album release. Speaking to The Line Of Best Fit she explained that she’s been “working with a lot more Norwegian artists/producers” than ever before but isn’t sure which tracks are “making the album“.
