In 2013 he was known as a ‘local talent’ by his city in Columbia, and not 2 years later Mackenze La Huella was signed to an independent label with aims to take over the U.S’s vibrant Latin music scene. Born in 1994, Mackenze found his love for music within his economist father’s rich vinyl collection; it was his penchant for salsa, rock and roll, groove, disco and more that would shape Mackenze’s tastes today. Singles like ‘Weeds’, ‘Si te vas conmigo’ and ‘Caliente’ symbolize the origins of his sound, right before the pandemic reinvented him. His latest album ‘La Cosecha’ has been in the works ever since, each with a flavour representing a different part of the world and stylish lyrics that depict adversity as opportunity, resilience as strength, and authenticity as the primary goal.
