UK-based worship leader and songwriter Jonny Riggs returns with his deeply moving new single, “Where Else Would I Go”, the second release from his forthcoming debut EP Lead Me By The Hand. Known for penning modern hymns that have found a home in churches across the world, Riggs brings his signature warmth, sincerity, and devotional honesty to this intimate, piano-led ballad.
Written alone on his upright piano, “Where Else Would I Go” began as a spontaneous prayer, a quiet confession that grew into a song of worship. The track pairs acoustic simplicity with gently expanding instrumentation, creating a space that feels both deeply personal and collectively worshipful.
“‘Where Else Would I Go’ is a song about returning to the simple, sacred place of being with Jesus, recognising that every longing, answer, and sense of belonging is found in Him,” says Jonny.
Riggs’ voice, tender, grounded, and full of reverence, anchors the song’s reflective tone. As piano, acoustic guitar, and subtle layers build, the listener is drawn into a sense of stillness and awe, mirroring the heart of the lyric: a soul at rest in God’s presence.
No stranger to crafting songs that resonate far beyond his own pen, Riggs has written and collaborated with leading voices in the worship space. His works have been featured on BBC Songs of Praise, across radio and worship movements, and recorded by artists and collectives including Songs From The Soil, Lucy Grimble, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, and Vineyard Worship. His co-write “Thanks & Praise” has surpassed 10 million streams across all platforms, cementing his place as one of the UK’s most gifted contemporary worship songwriters.
Now, stepping forward as an artist in his own right, Riggs’ debut EP Lead Me By The Hand invites listeners into a deeply personal journey of faith, one marked by trust, intimacy, and renewal.
