Janiq is back with her latest single, ‘I know Your Secret’ as she looks to make waves and further establish herself as a rising creative powerhouse. Sporting a cutting-edge pop sound, she rides high with a fierce, unstoppable attitude.
The follow-up to ‘Flowers and Fantasies’, ‘I know Your Secret’ sees Janiq make a temporary departure from her loved-up, slick R&B sound in place of something that oozes confidence, conviction, and independence. The track features a darker, more alternative edge that Janiq plays on with her suggestive, unhampered lyricism and delivery. There’s a strong feminist energy about the track, taking back the reins of control, and showing the world who is boss.
Speaking about the influences behind the release, Janiq shares, “People will always have their opinions of you and your work as an artist ranging from super complimentary to outright criticism. one of the great things about being an artist is being able to use your trauma as a source for creativity so I am grateful for the resulting growth and strength and all the people online and off-line who supported me through this period. Now we can laugh and move on”
