Ed Accura has unveiled his latest, ‘1 LIFE’, featuring a stacked cast of talented musicians over a smooth, summery beat that sonically embraces the sun’s return to the skies. Part of his upcoming documentary No Lifeguard, the track aligns R&B, hip-hop and a sprinkling of danceable keys and drums for a fabulous vibe.
Slick, confident performances from each rising artist on feature, a rotating cast of contributions from MAXOO, GOLDEY ONE4, SAMSON ALEXANDER, BOY SAYSO and EMARVELLOUS give a rich set of influences and styles, all comfortable along the bouncy backbeat.
Behind the track is an important message of emphasising personal responsibility and awareness in water safety. The track and the documentary it soundtracks are part of a wider campaign Accura has pursued.
Ed comments, “‘1 LIFE’ is a hard-hitting release that centres on the reality that we only get one shot at this life. Built around urgency, accountability, and self-awareness, it reflects the mindset of taking control, making choices that matter, and understanding that no one else is responsible for your path but you.”
After his early musical days in the 90s, co-founding the UK hip-hop crew, 617, and launching Accura Records, the 2010s found Accura chasing a more socially conscious advocacy. Ed has campaigned across homelessness, water safety, and youth engagement, with music, film and community all essential components of his mission.
