Dracula Jackson releases new single ‘One Track Mind’

Dracula Jackson, the brainchild of musician Sean “Drac” Jackson is back with his latest release ‘One Track Mind.’ The song is catchy, a little dark, and charmingly unsettling, and it’s accompanied by a music video that gives the audience insights into the deeper meanings behind the song. The combo showcases another
evolution in Jackson’s ever-evolving sonic offerings.

‘One Track Mind’ was written, performed, and recorded entirely by Jackson in his home studio that he has affectionately named “Butcher Room Studios”. The track kicks off with a steady, tense, reggae-leaning guitar riff. From there, the song shifts in unexpected ways, keeping things edgy and a touch unpredictable. It feels confident and vulnerable at the same time.

At its core, the song is about obsession. Jackson sings about being focused, and loyal, but also trapped by that same tired mindset. He describes the narrator as a faithful dog on a tight leash, waiting for the right moment to run. Lyrics like “I’ve got Sydney dreams, but a Melbourne life” highlight the gap between where you want to be and where you actually are. The song communicates to listeners that waiting too long and staying fixated can cost you more than you realize.

In Jackson’s words, “I like writing from the perspective of a caged animal. This song depicts a faithful dog who waits for his moment and then bolts. I like that story.”

The music video, shot and produced by Jackson himself, leans into an early 80s MTV nostalgia.

With Dracula Jackson, you can count on his honesty, strong hooks, and a song that makes you think.
