Crafted entirely at home, from the first spark of inspiration to the final polished master, this single showcases the artist’s journey through modern trance. While honing their craft at SAE Munich’s Electronic Music Production course, DJ SCHMETTERLING used this track as a creative playground to master cutting-edge mixing and mastering techniques.
DJ SCHMETTERLING’s musical roots run deep. From childhood piano lessons at age six to mastering acoustic and electric guitar and classical singing, his early years were steeped in melody and rhythm. As a teenager, the discovery of techno and EDM sparked a passion for DJing, leading to a bold mission: to weave live instruments like guitar and piano into electronic soundscapes. The stage name DJ SCHMETTERLING—meaning “butterfly” in German, reflects a fascination with transformation, inspired by the butterfly’s metamorphosis, the flutter of love (Schmetterlinge im Bauch haben), and the insect’s symbolism for ADHD awareness.
