London-based alt-rock artist D3LTA is back with ‘Kids’, a powerful, emotionally loaded single that pulls no punches. Blending sharp social commentary with anthemic instrumentation, the track confronts the collective numbness of the digital age — where real-world horrors play out in the background of everyday life, barely noticed and quickly forgotten.
Rather than offering comfort, the song’s central line — “The kids will be alright” — is a chilling refrain. It echoes not as hope, but as a form of collective denial. D3LTA challenges the listener to face the harsh realities too often ignored: the innocence of youth caught in geopolitical crossfire, and the disturbing ease with which we scroll past suffering.
“There’s something deeply unsettling about the way tragedy has become just another headline,” D3LTA shares. “Children born into war zones or systemic violence — none of it is their fault. And yet we continue to watch without acting, as if awareness alone is enough.”
Musically, ‘Kids’ is bold and expansive. Its driving rhythm section and emotive vocal delivery channel the art-rock evolution of David Bowie, the grit of Sam Fender, and the incisive edge of Declan McKenna. It’s both a cry of frustration and a call to consciousness — cinematic in scale, but intimate in its urgency.
Behind the scenes, the single is bolstered by heavyweight production talent. Jim Abbiss (known for his work with Arctic Monkeys and Adele) and songwriter Max Wolfgang (Laufey, BLACKPINK) help shape the track’s raw energy into something both polished and immediate.
Following a string of live shows across Europe, including support slots for Scouting for Girls and JC Stewart, D3LTA continues to carve out his space as a voice unafraid to tackle uncomfortable truths.
With new singles ‘Animals’ and ‘Mad About It’ set for release in the coming months, and a debut album on the horizon, D3LTA is emerging as a fearless storyteller — one who refuses to look away from the world’s fractures, and urges his listeners not to either.
‘Kids’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
