Indie-rockers Breeze have returned with a fresh anthem to grace your eardrums, entitled ‘Song For A Sign’. In a year of Britpop revival, they take the style and bring new modernity to it. What’s delivered is a soaring cut with urgency, ready for energised gigs and festival stages.
Anthemic from start to finish, it’s within the choruses that the band truly find their stride. Every word feels begging to be shouted back at the vocalist by the crowd, all the while layers of riotous drums and screaming guitars take you to rock euphoria. A pounding whirlwind with intention like never before.
In the band’s words, “We went deep into experimentation in the studio, layering unexpected sounds across the verses to bring a modern twist to that unmistakable ’90s Britpop energy the nation still craves. The result sounds like a head-bopping, hook-heavy track that worms its way into your head before detonating into a chorus built for festival fields and sweaty club sing-alongs.”
Anderson brothers, Albert, Harry and Alfred, make up the trio Breeze. They’ve toured Europe, stormed through the Isle of Wight Festival and shared lineups with the likes of Kasabian and Royal Blood at Y Not?. Most recently, they made stops at Paris and Toulouse and received praise from Radio X and BBC Introducing.
