London based Black Orchid Empire create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty.
Their technical, fearlessly complex grooves and gigantic sing-along choruses have already earned them a widespread fanbase.
A ferociously tight live band, they have toured Europe and the UK extensively, supporting Skunk Anansie, HED P.E, INME, Cellar Darling and Black Map as well as festival slots at Download, Standon Calling, Tech Fest, Teddy Rocks and Planet Rockstock.
‘Mirrorman’ goes in hard with intense rock beats and melancholic vocals as the band unveil this truly sombre track.
Paul explains that “The track is about the idea of Doppelgängers – an alternative mirror world just out of reach. It deals with the concept of doubting our own reality – asking big existential questions of our perspectives and place in the universe.
It’s a longer, more progressive piece of music than the other singles we’ve released so far, something we’ve been enjoying exploring on this forthcoming album.
The extra twists and turns allow us more time to pose the central question of the song.”
