Beck has shared a new song titled ‘No Distraction‘ from his forthcoming album, Colors.
The dancey new track was played by radio host Gary Calamar during his latest KCRW broadcast. Although the singer hasn’t officially released the song, ‘No Distraction‘ can be heard around the 20:15 mark here.
Speaking of his new song, the ‘Loser‘ singer said: “Anybody who has a phone or computer lives with the distractions pulling you this way and that. We haven’t figured out how to have access to everybody and everything all the time and how it affects us physically and neurologically. Or at least I haven’t. My analogy to friends has been that I feel as if somebody has removed the front door of my house, permanently.”
Colors is the follow up to his Grammy 2015 album of the year Morning Phase with the singer releasing a number of songs from the new album including; ‘Dear Life‘, ‘Dreams’, and ‘Wow‘. Check out the lyric video for ‘Dear Life‘ below.
The new album is set for release on 13th October and Beck is due to open for U2 on their Joshua Tree anniversary tour on several dates in September.
