If you’ve been following Federico Nessi’s Be My Wife project, you know he doesn’t do anything by halves — and his latest single, ‘Only You’, proves it once again. Part of his upcoming EP ‘To Deliver a Feeling’, this track is equal parts sweeping power ballad, hypnotic Krautrock journey, and emotional rollercoaster.
From the opening bars, there’s a deliberate nod to The Platters’ classic, but don’t expect a nostalgia trip. Nessi quickly layers lush, cinematic synths and his emotive vocals, moving effortlessly from tender intimacy to soaring theatricality. And just when you think you’ve got a handle on the song, it pivots — rhythms stagger, synths buckle, and repetition takes over, turning the track into a mantra-like exploration of love’s extremes: “I’m only interested in Paradise.”
Directed by Grégoire Léon-Dufour, the visual for ‘Only You’ mirrors the song’s dual nature perfectly. It’s cinematic, immersive, and painterly — every frame feels like a brushstroke, shifting between light and shadow, intimacy and spectacle.
Nessi’s background as a fine artist shines through, with imagery that evolves alongside the music, pulling viewers deeper into his world. It’s less a traditional “performance” video and more a visual meditation, giving the listener another entry point into the song’s emotional highs, lows, and contradictions.
