London’s own ANDIRA returns with his third single of the year, weaving vibrant pop grooves into another confessional cut. A new name steadily beginning to make waves, the young songwriter continues his sharp ascent with ‘GRACE’, a synth-drenched track that balances polish and poignancy with striking ease.
Blending classic storytelling with a vibrant modern pop finesse, ANDIRA traces a spiralling tale of pride, pain, and lost love. Set against a backdrop of roaring synths and a colourful rhythm, ‘GRACE’ holds nothing back. There’s a wild vulnerability at the core, as ANDIRA draws emotional weight from the single’s protagonist, his unique delivery cutting through the mix, carrying the track with style and finesse.
Speaking about the single, ANDIRA shares, “‘Grace’ retraces many of my songwriting influences, from arpeggios and scales from my years studying piano in France, to my more recent admiration for Stromae’s pop production techniques. Lyrically, I chose to have a rather sharp pen, but carried with a simple melody, to give the words room to breathe. ‘Grace’ tells the story of a man who lost everything. In contrast, his former partner, Grace, turned her life around successfully and proposes to help him. The character refuses her sympathy, blinded by bitterness and pride.”
