ALLEY the band show their allies of rock-and-roll with Fantasize Romanticize

Punkish vocals, crashing cymbals, and fuzzing guitars are front and center of ALLEY the band’s latest creation, with Fantasize Romanticize being a foot-stomping, head-nodding indie-rock anthem. Dancing shoes pair with twelve-bar blues; Fantasize Romanticize is the antidote, further fueling the UK guitar-led resurgence held together by independent artists nationwide, with ALLEY the band joining the party.

Not here to make up the numbers, with their first offering being released at the end of last year, the South Coast band discuss the single’s origins:

“Fantasize Romanticize will be our next single and was born out of a band jamming session around 12 bar blues. It is a frenetic, punchy, hold on to your hat kind of song which has been cleverly produced to evoke old punk vibes but still maintain a fresh, modern sound. I (Ali) was given the riff by Robbie to write the lyrics, and I immediately felt the track should have tension and a claustrophobic feel, almost overwhelming. They actually depict a person at war with themselves, a ‘do they or don’t they’ situation. The intensity and incessant nature of the lyrics give the track energy and the breakout moments a sense of relief.”

Made up of Ali, Robbie, Jaymie, Paul and Antony, the five-piece rockers are one to look out for this year. With a knack for producing ear-worm melodies, raucous riffage and driving rhythms, whether it be summer festival slots or crowded pub dancefloors, ALLEY the band make music that is custom-built for a live environment.
