‘This Isn’t Real’ sees Nakima deliver deep lyrics that beautifully but sadly reflect upon a relationship that didn’t end up quite as anticipated

Since a young girl Nakima always had dreams of pursuing a music career.

Singing in school talent shows and auditioning for various musical opportunities, she went through various stages in understanding who she was and where she could fit into the vast pool that is the music industry.

Having moved around a lot growing up as a result of being the daughter of military parents, her Caribbean roots kept her grounded and have shaped parts of her identity as a person and a musical artist.

Now, Nakima has found herself in the company of her mentors, Haley Smalls (artist/songwriter) and Megaman (Grammy award nominated producer for Lil Wayne, Drake, etc) and is currently working towards shaping a unique and personalized sound while building a dedicated fanbase.

Her music is a diverse flavour of r&b and pop, and her latest single ‘This Isn’t Real’ continues to shows listeners the great potential that is just beginning to unfold.

‘This Isn’t Real’ instantly has us locked in with vibrant melodies and soulful vocals, as Nakima delivers deep lyrics that beautifully but sadly reflect upon a relationship that didn’t end up quite as anticipated.
