The live version of ‘Willow Tree’ features outstanding harmonies and also sees Lost Post throw in elements of bluegrass music into the stirring arrangement

Lost Post are a railroad Americana band, formed in a Southampton pub in 2022 by Arkansas-forged singer and guitarist Brandon Otto; Romani bassist Niki Balazs; Southampton-born lap steel, banjo, and harmonica player A.M. Davis; and joined soon after by lyricist and percussionist Alice Stinetorf; and producer, guitarist and vocalist Lou Sawdy.

The band draw on the rich storytelling elements of both old-time American and traditional English music, woven into a unique blend of foot-stomping country, swampy blues and delicate folk music.

Earlier in the year Lost Post performed ‘Willow Tree’ for Sound Check Southampton Live Session, during which the band served up a delightful and lively blues themed anthem that showcases their incredible talent.

The performance features outstanding harmonies and also see the band throw in elements of bluegrass music into the stirring arrangement.

Last year saw Lost Post gigging relentlessly, including playing to a packed-out crowd on the Buskers Wharf stage at Boomtown Fair and the acoustic stage at Wickham Festival.

They’ve also had the opportunity to play shows supporting the likes of Nashville’s honky-tonk queen Emily Nenni and plenty of other amazing acts including Skinny Lister, 3 Daft Monkeys and Nick Parker.

They’ve been building a growing fanbase since releasing their debut single ‘Charlotte’ (for which they were interviewed on BBC Radio Solent) and their EP
‘Hope (and All Its Promise),’ which was also featured on BBC Introducing.

The band released its first full-length album last month, titled ‘All We’ll Leave Is Dust,’ produced by Lou Sawdy, which you can expect to find in all the usual places, with a tour planned in support of its release.
