Paulina Caine was born in Poland and trained in classical music. After moving to Australia, she combined her classical vocal background with pop and electronic influences creating the duo Basic Desire with producer Henry Kubik.
The duo appeared on Australian media outlets including Channel 7, ABC and SBS, performed at events such as the Sydney and Perth Festivals and gained attention online when tracks like ‘Once Again’ ranked highly on music-sharing sites.
Last year the duo unveiled ‘Stranger,’ which sees Paulina deliver a stirring vocal performance that flows alongside the vibrant and catchy synth melodies.
The duo’s sound is a perfect blend of modern electronic pop, with elements of synthwave and alt-pop, ideal for fans of artists like CHVRCHES and The Midnight.
