‘Made On The Road’ – One-of-a-kind music project on wheels

‘Made On The Road’ is the brainchild of George Holliday and it is a project that began in the summer of 2017.

George has always had a passion for music, travel and creativity and this was the driving force behind his endeavour.

It started with the purchase of an ex-library bus, which George and his father Martin spent 9 months renovating into something unique.

A year later and George was ready to hit the road and his first port of call was mainland Europe, the journey was established as a huge success. The initial stop overs were convincing enough to land George his first major-label conversation with Warner Chappell, where George and his writing partner Isaac began working creatively whilst still on the road.

In 2019 George revealed the next phase of the project and this was that he would write an album with everyone he encountered during his travels.

The end result was a 16 track album, which was recorded and produced in the bus and this was funded through merchandise sales and generous donations courtesy of his fanbase.

His first single ‘Drop By’ was supported by the likes of BBC Introducing and 1Xtra and next month will see the release of the follow up single ‘Young And Free’
