A new era in rock music has arrived. Today officially marks the launch of Resolute Recordings, a sister label of Affiant Records. Resolute Recordings is an independent rock record label whose focus is to mold and transform the next generation of rock artists, while staying true and authentic to the music.
Headed by a team of music industry veterans and rock enthusiasts, Resolute Recordings is rooted in determination and driven by a steadfast spirit. Resolute Recordings champions raw authenticity over insincerity. Their long-term vision focuses on growing and developing the next generation of rock artists. Every release is a statement: resilience matters, music deserves to be heard and has value. Real music will always endure.
When asked about the new label, William J. Metzger said, “Resolute Recordings has been a vision of mine for a while now. I’m excited to be able to work so closely with our artists on both the creation, production, and releases of their music. We are a group of creative professionals that will set the standard for music and entertainment through our writing, recording, and live performances.”
For their first release, Resolute Recordings has signed Stealing Handshakes, a 4-piece up-and-coming alt-rock band from Pampa, Texas. Discovered at LAUNCH Music Conference Dallas, Stealing Handshakes is known for their high-energy, engaging live performances. They blend the grit and melody which is reminiscent of Foo Fighters and Soundgarden. Stealing Handshakes have shared the stage with national acts such as Kansas and Horizon Theory. Their latest single, “Chloroform,” is a raw and powerful song about the personal battles with substance abuse, confronting the theme of self-destruction and inner conflict. Other notable releases include, “The Fallout,” which captures the tension of relationships, while “Ellipsis,” reflects the broken communication of modern dating. Their music is crafted with intent, memorable hooks, and emotionally resonant lyrics, and is out now on all streaming platforms.
Their brand new self-titled album, “Stealing Handshakes,” drops on Friday, April 24th, 2026.
