Pop punk power trio HONEYTALKS have hit the music scene with cinematic explosion with their latest hit single, Super 8.’ Inspired by the iconic film reel, the track projects a raw energy that urges listeners to break free from the mundane routines of daily life and chase their dreams with unwavering determination.

As the second release from HONEYTALKS this year, Super 8 is a glimpse of  their upcoming EP, There’s Hope in Hopeless, slated for a 29th September 2023 release via AFFIANT RECORDS

Steel City Studio in Sheffield is the master mind behind the EP’s production. They have worked with esteemed artists such as All Time Low, You Me At Six, Bring Me The Horizon, Deaf Havana, and Stand Atlantic.

The trio’s commitment to mental health advocacy resonates throughout their lyrics, as they courageously share their thoughts and emotions, providing comfort and support to those facing similar struggles.

One particularly profound line in ‘Super 8, I’m paralyzed in a perfect life, looks into the complexities hidden behind seemingly ideal existences. The band reminds us that despite our privileges, seeking help and support is a sign of strength, not weakness. The chorus further captivates with Watch me fade away, film it on a Super 8, showcasing life’s deceptive nature, especially when observed through fleeting moments. It serves as a powerful coping mechanism, concealing our true feelings from the world.

HONEYTALKS lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Scott stated, We want people to know that life runs much deeper, and it’s something we all need to remember. Nothing is as it seems.

The band’s electrifying performance this weekend in London is not one to be missed. They continue to push the boundaries of pop punk, infusing it with their passion and cinematic energy. HONEYTALKS will perform at NEW ROCK CITY INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL, a punk music festival, at THE BLACK HEART in Camden on Saturday 12th August 2023. Founded by Stephen Moss, the festival serves as a global platform for local punk bands, uniting 33 musical acts from 6 different countries.
