Fresh from performing at Wilko’s Solid Sound Festival in recent weeks, Finnish duo Tuomo & Markus have now announced their plans for a new studio album, showcased by the vibrant new single ‘Highest Mountain’.
Following up the release of their recent effort ‘Wishful Thinking’, ‘Highest Mountain’ continues their pursuit of warm and alluring textures. Recorded at E-Studio in Finland, this new rendition highlights their effervescent tones within their newest release and will appear on their forthcoming new album ‘Game Changing’, which is due out on the 14th October via Grand Pop Records.
Speaking about the new live version, they said, “Here’s a new version of our new single ‘Highest Mountain’ that we cut at E-Studio in Finland recently. This track was recorded 100% live with the full 6-piece band. These were special immersive/spatial audio recording sessions, assembled by the legendary Finnish studio monitor manufacturer Genelec – we got to use their special immersive microphone rig for this project.
A photographer/cinematographer friend-of-ours Tero Ahonen documented these recording sessions with his film crew.”
