With so many great albums lined up to be released this year, the one I am most excited about is Alan Dreezer’s much anticipated ‘H E A L E D.’ He has released a string of singles over the past couple of years and each one has its own personality. They have served as perfect appetizers for the full album is released later this month.
One such single is the energetic ‘But It Does.’ It is the quintessential summer song. It comes complete with a funky bass, dazzling synths, and a catchy beat. It hops along with a smoothness and ease that is positively possessive. It is a feel-good song to the core and is my favourite single so far. It talks about a relationship that is over but doesn’t feel like it is. It is about how those residual feelings can be the strongest of all and how letting go of someone is not an easy thing. Deep feelings have never been more fun to address than on this bouncy hit.
My summer playlist has desperately needed reviving and this song alone has already resuscitated it. I think it will be even more lively once the full-length album drops this September 21st.
Another show-stopper from the upcoming album is ‘Equal’:
