PREMIERE: Vanda makes her mark with fiery new track ‘Queen V’

Los Angeles based rising star Vanda has shared her latest track ‘Queen V’ today. Bursting with empowering and feisty energy, Vanda’s slick bars deliver a message of self-love whilst getting playful. Harbouring a candid flair that really grabs attention, Vanda is here to shake up the hip-hop scene with her straight-talking narratives and captivating delivery.

Vanda explains, “Quarantine for me, and for so many people, was a sort of rebirthing period, a shedding of the skin. A time of reflection, but major growth. I started to tap into my playful side in the studio & with that, came a whole new sound I didn’t even know existed within me. What started off as just playing around, shifted into a powerful essence of energy Joel (my collaborator) and I really fell in love with. When we realized we had a special vibe in the chorus & the pre chorus, I wanted the verse lyrics to highlight the lessons I’ve learned during quarantine & hope that while the song is cheeky, moody and fun, people can still internalize the message of growth, change and self love!”

Since her debut, Michelle Alyce Vanda has built a loyal fanbase with her steady stream of releases, whilst turning notable heads along the way. In 2018, Vanda performed and co-wrote ‘Right Reasons’, a track on Lucidious’ ‘Enough’ album, which garnered over 1 million streams worldwide and ultimately connected Vanda to her current collaborator Joel Woods, who she now co-produces and co-writes with on many of her projects. Drawing influence from the likes of Ariana Grande, Ashnikko, H.E.R., Post Malone and Rihanna, Vanda’s sound is one that you don’t forget easily.
