Singer-songwriter J4 shares emotional duet with girlfriend titled ‘Anchor’

Singer-songwriter J4 releases highly anticipated new single Anchor.

“This song is a duet with my amazing girlfriend Elena that mimics the conversations that we had at the beginning, and throughout, our relationship. This song depicts the push and pull of grounding and freedom, and how our relationship went through experiences that made it easy to understand that balance,” J4 explains.

Born in Buffalo, New York, singer/songwriter J4 has always had a passion for music. He discovered his talent while singing in church as a child, before moving to Nashville, Tennessee for high school. In between classes, he began performing daily at Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge and started co-writing with established songwriters like Jan Buckingham (Lee Greenwood, Whitney Houston, Tim McGraw, Pam Tillis), John Goodwin (Michael McDonald, Brad Paisley, Steely Dan) and James Breedwell (Joey Evancho, Kechi, Jeffrey Li, Barry Darcy).

Music has always been a way in which I express myself,” J4 says. “I love telling stories we can all relate to so, for just a moment, we can all feel more connected and experience those stories together.

In the summer of 2020, J4 embarked on The Xtreme Tour as a headliner and accompanist. The group of Christian musicians toured nationally while worshipping and sharing their talents.

J4 is currently studying at Belmont University to receive his Master of Commercial Music degree in 2022.
