Golden West comeback into the music scene with new single titled The Fall.
“This song can mean a lot of things depending on what you’re going through. For us though, it’s that feeling of getting in over your head and not realizing it until it’s too late. Whether that’s a relationship, your mental health, or something else in life that’s consumed you. We hope listeners like the song and can connect with it. To us that’s the most important thing. We want to have that emotional connection with our fans,” the duo explains.
With this release, Golden West has signed a distribution deal with Heart Songs Records. The song was written with other songwriters Curt Chambers, Ryan Sorestad, Jacob Garner, and Nick Rosen.
This song was one of the most fun songs we’ve written because it was with friends and just came together so naturally. We were in between sessions, so some people were getting ready to leave while others were just walking in for our second session of the day. Because we all were friends, it started as a break/hang before we got started again. That break turned into creating one of our favorite songs we’ve written. Right after we finished the demo the alternative band Phantogram heard it and wanted it. We were floored because they’re one of our favorite bands ever! That ended up falling through, which bummed us out, but now we know it was for a reason! After sitting on it for 2 years we finally realized that it was meant to be a Golden West song,” Golden West said.
While touring across the nation, Golden West has had the opportunity to share stages with national touring acts including Dan + Shay, Thomas Rhett, Lee Brice, Chris Jansen, and many others.
“We are so excited because this is the first of many releases for 2021! Over quarantine we signed an EP deal with the London-based label Audio Network, so we will be releasing a few more singles leading up to a 7-song EP in the spring.”
