Toro y Moi has confirmed a sixth album due next year and dropped its lead single with accompanying visuals.
‘Freelance’ mixes nostalgic funk with Toro’s distinctively feathery vocals to create a stunning, upbeat track.

The forthcoming release, Outer Peace / Car Park, is expected to drop 18th January, 2019.
Toro Y Moi, otherwise known as Chaz Bear, found inspiration for the sixth studio album after moving from the nature of Portland to the stifling environment of the Bay Area.
Elaborating on the inspiration, Bear said: “This record is a response to how disposable culture has become and how it affects creativity. While listening, you might pay attention or ignore — either way that’s ok, this is music for a creative mind.”
