‘Ornament‘ is an experimental slow jam which focuses on the topic of being ghosted and toyed with. Soulful vocals break through the track’s distorted backdrop creating a beautiful contrast between harsh and serene sounds. The video for the track was directed by Max Knight and sees the singer dancing in a number of interesting settings. Watch below.
The song explores the missing pieces we might feel, whether it’s just the love and care for others we give that’s left unnoticed leading to a lack of validation, to playing mind games to reclaim power. It’s tricky to navigate, but it’s very much like an ornament sitting there in the corner.
