Vancouver-native JJ ADRIAN has shared a new soulful track called ‘Tell Me‘.
A smooth hybrid of alternative R&B and soul make up the latest offering from the 23-year-old. The new track is helmed by the artist as something that the 16-year-old JJ would definitely “download onto his iPod Nano.” After taking a year hiatus from music and re-discovering the roots of what made him fall in love with it at a young age, he’s back with the stand-out ‘Tell Me‘.
Blessed with smooth keys, JJ’s smoky vocals and a weighty kick drum that sounds like the beat of the track’s heart, ‘Tell Me‘ is one of January’s most exciting songs. Listen to the new cut below.
‘Tell Me‘ was produced by L.A. beatsmith The Crateful Head and is the first track the singer has released that truly represents his sound as an artist. Pulling influences from the Vancouver music scene to L.A. has helped him shape his unique sound. JJ ADRIAN made a big impact with his excellent EP, Priorities, last year.
