Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith joined the This Morning sofa earlier today and ended up… rapping Eminem lyrics.
Using the appearance as an opportunity to attack Labour MP Diane Abbott, who fluffed a radio interview last week when discussing police funding, Duncan Smith broke into a segment of the Detroit rapper’s ‘Lose Yourself’ as Labour’s Chuka Umunna sat beside him wearing a pained expression.
Presenter Piers Morgan appeared excited by the bizarre spectacle, exclaiming, “Can we just take a moment because, just in the break there, one of the most iconic cultural moments I think I’ve ever experienced on this sofa… Iain Duncan Smith, perhaps the last person that you’d expect to know this, was talking about a message for Diane Abbott, which was when he began writing lyrics from Eminem.”

This summer will see Eminem return to the UK to headline Reading & Leeds Festival alongside Kasabian.
