Japanese music and lifestyle brand J-DIGS is heading to London for the first time this August, taking over GOODHOOD in East London for a four-day pop-up celebrating Japan’s rich music and creative culture.
Running from 6–9 August, the free event will bring together a selection of rare Japanese vintage vinyl, official reissues and exclusive merchandise, with records spanning City Pop, J-Jazz and some of the country’s most influential sounds. There will also be a special collection of merchandise celebrating legendary guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka, whose sold-out London show at Crystal Palace Bowl takes place on Friday 7 August.
Saturday daytime will feature a DJ set from Wolf Tapes, alongside complimentary Japanese sake from Hakutsuru, giving collectors and music fans the chance to explore the pop-up after hours.
With Japanese music culture continuing to find new audiences in the UK, J-DIGS’ first London pop-up offers a chance to dig into the records, artwork and wider creative world behind some of Japan’s most enduring musical movements.
