DIELUN is a UK-based vocalist and songwriter, born in Trinidad and Tobago.
His cinematic, voice-led pop merges atmospheric production with a rich tenor, balancing intimate storytelling with expansive, arena-ready lift.
Raised singing in church from age five often leading worship ahead of his father’s ministry. Dielun joined recording artists Ceejay and Luckey as a background vocalist at fourteen, touring Trinidad while still in highschool.
In 2003, he joined the Lovelink International Chorale as a featured soloist, opening for Grammy Award-winning artist CeCe Winans during her Throne Room Tour.
He relocated to the UK in 2007, releasing early material underhis birth name Dylan, including his 2011 debut single ‘Stand (I Will Be There)’ in partnership with East London Children’s Charity ELHAP and the 2012 EP The Makings of Me, recorded with Nashville producer Justin Johnson.
The following year, he formally adopted the artist name Dielun a phonetic reclamation after years of interviewers and radio personalities mispronouncing “Dylan” as “Dillan” rather than “Die-lun.”

Written after a quiet moment watching the sun set by the sea, the track reflects the universal desire to feel fully alive and emotionally connected.
‘Resplendence’ carries a warm, reflective summer tone – equally suited to late-night listening, sunset sets and relaxed daytime programming.
DIELUN took time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions for us:
1) When did your musical journey begin?
I grew up on a university campus in Trinidad. It was very musical, my brother and I were singing in choirs from about age five.
I did my first solo in church at the age of five. So I guess you can say, it began then.
My professional career didn’t begin until I was 14 and started doing background vocals for a brother/sister gospel duo.
2) How did you get involved with Rising Voices?
I was scouted for the Rising Voices event by Jordan from The Next Wave UK. He messaged me on Instagram and asked if I would apply.
There was nothing to lose by applying so I did. This event was my first with Rising Voices and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.
3) Are there any releases or events in the pipeline?
My next single is coming in October. I’m actively looking for opportunities to perform.
4) What are you currently up to when not recording in the studio or performing?
I’m a civil servant so I work every day, I’m a dad which keeps me busy and I also do musical theatre with Perform Chepstow. So I’m pretty busy when not in the studio or performing.
