The track itself is about climbing the corporate ladder, and the pitfalls that can follow in self-worth, but Nath Tavares is climbing a different ladder with ‘Fooled!’, and doing so at some speed.
Discussing the single Nath explains:
“FOOLED! tells the story of how I was fooled by the narrative of success of our current society. I did everything “right”: studied hard, learned different languages while moving around the globe, got into top universities, majored in Communication and Consumer Behavior but took courses in computer science and STEM-related fields to have a more technical perspective, worked my ass off in corporate tech workplaces, got a promotion, got an MBA, worked in management consulting… And yet, I still felt incredibly unfulfilled.”
The Brazilian-born artist, with roots in Mexico, China, and the US, draws on a diverse upbringing that has shaped a range of influences impacting Nath’s sound. Having built a career through innovation in the digital space, Nath Tavares is doing no different here. Her unique blend of rap alongside pop-rap production is something to behold, and we can’t wait to see how the rest of 2026 works out.
