‘Down the West Coast’ is the new single from Moon Construction Kit

Moon Construction Kit is back with his new release ‘Down the West Coast,’ which is a nostalgia-packed instant classic. Glorious harmonies, layered reverbs, and lending influences from The Beach Boys, as well as more modern outfits like The Drums, Moon Construction Kit, AKA Olivier Cornu may have penned his best work yet.

Discussing the single, Olivier Cornu explains:

“With ‘Down the West Coast,’ I really wanted to pay homage to that specific ’67–’71 Beach Boys era—the kind of music that feels like a sun-drenched, baroque journey. We combined 50s-inspired woodwinds with an orchestral ‘Chamber-Pop’ structure to create a sound that is as much about the arrangement as it is about the mood.”

The shimmering arrangement is just one of many singles from the Lausanne-based singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist, having previously dropped his psych-pop release ‘Snake Charmer’ earlier this year.
