Norwegian performer, songwriter, and singer Maribelle has announced her newest record, A New Spring, made up of dreamy mystique, glorious synthesizers with hypnotising vocals. Having released her new album over a decade ago, Maribelle’s artistry has moved from strength to strength.
Opening with INNER CHILD, soaring vocals beckon in an astounding, captivating record, with track four, HOPE, being a further standout, which utilises grooving bass and Middle Eastern instrumentation amongst a melay of synth pads. Previous single A PRAYER stands boldly amongst the 10-track LP, which closes with an ethereal soundscape A PERFECT DREAM.
“With A New Spring, I wanted to create music that feels uplifting to the listener, something that reflects a simple inner drive I think many of us share, a desire to help and remind people that they are loved. A lot of these songs come from my own process of dealing with challenges, and from a wish to turn those experiences into something that can feel supportive for others. In the studio, we focused on emotion, space, and clarity in the vocals and production. For me, this album is about slowing things down a little, and offering a sense of calm and presence through music in a time when I think we really need it.” – Maribelle
Trained at the Performing Arts School in Gothenburg and having made her way through musical theatre, Maribelle’s journey has provided a steady foundation for her growth.
